in the past year or so i have been through so much and i kind of evolved, so to speak. i feel like i have matured in many ways. and because of this my personal style has changed surprisingly a lot. i guess it started last year when i first saw the Prada Fall 2010 collection.
before this i thought that ripped T-shirts and denim with a studded leather jacket was crazy fly. don't get me wrong, i still love my doc martens and my leather biker jacket but i'm starting to lean more towards a restricted, minimalist, 1990-2002 sort of thing. instead of dying over the latest collection of jeremy scott (i'm still way in love with his longchamp bags btwss!) i find myself swooning for raf simons, dries van noten, and jil sander.
i've even noticed that the Marc By Marc Jacobs kids have grown up as well. and i am very much a fan of the flourishment.
back in septmeber i remember watching the style.com review video of Proenza Schouler Spring 2011 and Lazaro and Jack had said theses two things that have stuck with me ever since.
" the girls that look a little more put together and polished look almost cooler and subverted than the girls in ripped t-shirts"
- Lazaro Hernandez
"the suit is the new rebellion."
- Jack McCollough
