je ne veux plus laisser.

after my uncle's show it was feeding time (this was pleased me considering that i did not eat the entire day). we went to this very chic and yummy restaurant in chelsea called ELMO. at dinner it was my uncle Mark and his friends, Shelley, Courtney, Aaron, and Renaldo. it is safe to say they are the most amazing people i've ever met! they all have successful careers that involve fashion and are intelligent and wickedly hilarious! i was just so impressed by everything they talked about. i was just transfixed on they're reminiscing of going to shows in paris and all of they're knowledge on fashion, models, designers, and culture. when i was asked about universities i told them that i wanted to go to Europe really bad, and it seemed as though Central St. Martins in London was on the top of their recommendations lists. Central St. Martins is now on my list of universities that i should attend, along with Parsons in France if i decide not to go to Europe then i'd probably go to Parsons in New York. every time i come to New York i fall deeper into love with it. New York, je t'aime!

(my uncle is the one standing on that thing and the other guy is his friend Aaron, he's cool.)

so my uncle's show was on tuesday and it was a very crazy day! so after waking up and showering we went straight to the sample room and made sure everything was reading and putting everything in garment bags. then we made some quick errands like getting the rest of the shoes and going in and out of  multiple stores looking for something for my uncle to wear. and when he did when we got the last store he settled with just a t-shirt (now that i think of it, he never even wore the shirt). after getting the t-shirt that was supposed to be worn but never wasn't we went back to the sample room and got everything we needed. my uncle's friend Aaron, had a car (thank god) and was giving us a ride to the venue/bar (yes it is true i was in a real bar at night where alcoholic beverages were sold. i did feel a little cool. it was a sex and the city moment if you subtract the sex).
when we got there it was basically boot camp pour moi. there was organizing, organizing, and more organizing. then all of a sudden it became apparent that we would be needing some kind of form of a garment rack. this meant another trip back to the sample room. Aaron was driving and it was my task to achieve to get that garment rack. the plan was he was going to drop me off at the corner, i run into the build, get the garment rack, and i would meet him in front of the building. it soo new york fashion week and i would have loved every minute of it if i hadn't tripped while getting out of the vehicle, but i played it cool. (you know how i do).
garment rack task was completed. models were arriving, make up was being done, and my job was to organize (oui, there was more organizing) the looks so that each girl knew what she was wearing and i had to make sure each girl had the shoes that went with her looks. it was a lot.
after everything was done and people started arriving, it turned out to be an amazing event and i was very proud of my uncle! my final task was to cue the girls when to shift positions. i very nervous. but everything turned out uber good! i wasn't really able to take any pictures or even really use my phone due to my phobia of my uncle's wrath fed by his want for perfection (which was understandable and i probs would have been the same way)
but i did take these pictures of my favourite looks that i took this afternoon.

he fulfills my dreams

let me just say this new girl Joan Smalls, in the middle, is gorgeous!!! that is all.

i love, love, love this! its classic marc! i love the simplicity of it all. the long skirts, over the elbow gloves, the yummy knits, the amazing fur coats and bags, the oddly tinted sunglasses/readers, and especially the jumpers over the dresses! it reminded me of the type of girl who is like the total outsider in school is kind of known as a geek and teacher's pet but she always is neat and put together and marc jacobs transformed that into amazingness! and i thought "Somewhere over the Rainbow" was the perfect choice for the backdrop music! i loved, loved, loved it!!!

haus of gaga

never have i ever imagined someone who possesses such passion in their profession. never have i ever imagined someone who wears legitimate couture on pretty much a day to day basis. never have i ever imagined someone to make commercial pop music with actual meaning. never have i ever imagined a lady gaga.

no one wears marc jacobs like gaga!
